I always "blip" the gas when downshifting, but don't mix it with braking. I usually just brake first, then blip and downshift. I have tried heel-toeing, but I always thought you had to "hold" the rpms where you wanted to as you shifted. This is tricky, lol. I will try just blipping and shifting at the same time, should be lots easier. Seems like I saw another writeup on here, and it said you were supposed to "hold" the rpms at a point as you shifted. Ie: hold the rpms at 5500 as you downshift into 3rd from your example above. Does blipping work just as well as holding? I have been making a conscious effort to try to remember max rpms of certain gears so I can tell if I will overev when downshifting, etc. Mike
